The project "Solar Colleges" is being implemented within the framework of the Year of Germany in Russia 2020/2021 with the financial support of the Eberhard Scheck Foundation (Baden-Baden, Germany) and a number of partners: UDPO "Energy Institute for Advanced Training of PJSC ROSSETI Kuban", the National Research University of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (Moscow Power Engineering Institute), the German Solar Industry Association (BSW-Solar), the German company eclareon GmbH and the German Solar Energy Society - the Berlin Brandenburg Regional Association.
The aim of the new project is to transfer the knowledge and long-term practical experience of German designers, installers and solar companies in the field of design, calculation, construction and installation of photovoltaic systems to their colleagues at Russian enterprises and students of vocational schools.
The project aims to train the next generation of specialists to help the still-young Russian photovoltaic industry train its own qualified designers and installers who can use their knowledge and experience to promote the development of the solar industry in Russia by providing qualified planning, installation and maintenance of solar systems.
With the support and participation of the Eberhard Scheck Foundation, the Energy Institute for Advanced Training of PJSC Rosset Kuban and the MEI, two seminars were organized for students at the Novotroitsk Construction Technical School and the Ufa Fuel and Energy College. Local companies DMD-TECH and Kurai Solar provided on-site support for the project. Both training projects were also conducted with the support of the German Embassy in Moscow as part of the Year of Germany in Russia 2020/2021.
The project provides for the installation of solar power plants with a capacity of 5 kW on the territory of educational institutions for educational purposes. The installation of power plants was carried out with the involvement of students to practice practical skills in the construction of solar power plants. All the installed equipment was donated to the Novotroitsk Construction Technical School and the Agidel branch of the Ufa Fuel and Energy College for educational purposes.
After the training installation, an online workshop was held, during which participants were trained mainly in practical skills of calculating, designing and installing photovoltaic microgeneration systems. It showed a serious interest on the part of students in the profession of solar system installer.
During the seminar, the main lecturer, Dr. Alexander A. Kiryukhin, Associate Professor of the NRU MEI, Ph. D., conducted not only theoretical classes, but also practical classes on the calculation of photovoltaic systems, with the help of which students can already solve practical problems on the calculation of energy saving and energy efficiency in construction.
The online seminar program included the following lectures:
