On June 23-24, 2022, the UzbekistanEnergy Forum of – UEF 2022 was held in Tashkent with the participation of the energy ministers of the SCO member states.
The Forum is a logical continuation of the "Block of Energy Events", including the International Exhibitions "OGU 2022", "Power Uzbekistan 2022", the specialized section "GETCA 2022", which were successfully held on May 18-20, 2022 in Tashkent.
A significant event took place during the Forum - a meeting of the energy ministers of the SCO member states.
The program of the Energy Forum included the 24th International Conference "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan – OGU" and the 2nd International Energy Conference.
The Uzbekistan Energy Forum of will be a unique tool for representatives of the state authorities, the expert community and private business to discuss plans for the development of the energy industry, existing pressing problems in Uzbekistan and in the region as a whole, as well as ways to overcome them based on world experience.
It should be noted that Uzbekistan is one of the few countries in the world that fully provides itself with electricity from its own resources. But the Leadership of the Republic is not stopping at what has been achieved, implementing large-scale reforms within the framework of the "Concept of providing the Republic of Uzbekistan with electric energy for 2020-2030" and other program steps.
The purpose of the Forum is a constructive exchange of views of the world energy community, strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships in the fuel and energy sector and further integration of Uzbekistan into the regional energy system.
The event was attended by 60+ speakers, over 200 delegates from 12 countries: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, UAE, Saudi Arabia, USA, France, Japan.
The Forum's program included a wide range of topics covered: from the global transition to clean and sustainable energy to the digitalization of the oil and gas industry, from the transformation of the electric power sector and attracting investments to nuclear energy.
Chairman of the Board of NP "EUROSOLAR Russia" George Kekelidze took part in the Forum as moderator of the panel session "RES: Strategy for the development of renewable energy sources in Uzbekistan".
